"jak wyjść..." is a zine I designed as a part of my diploma. The title "jak wyjść...?" translates roughly as "how to get out...?" - the beginning of a sentence with many possible outcomes. It all started as a lingual-graphic experiment, corresponding with dadaist and avant-garde art and editorial design. I chose around 30 "endings" of the title - varying from "everyday" phrases to well-known and a bit abstract idioms. 10 of them made the set shown in the zine in form of digital collages. All the used photographs and illustrations are made by me, both analog and digital.
Each used colour had it's own meaning - turquoise for mystery, dark blue for prosaism and normality, yellow for energy. I also made CMY version - instead of original colours I used pure cyan, magenta and yellow. That way the zine could also be easily printed using home printer with the most vivid shades of the colours.
The whole story makes a transition from prosaic and everyday meanings to something more mysterious, unrealistic and abstract.
